Guest dancabs Posted August 17, 2012 Share Posted August 17, 2012 Hi all. i wonder if anyone can help. i am running a mk4 xr3i on mondeo alloys with 195/45/r16 tyres. i wondered if any knows how much i can lower it on springs only so it doesn't rub the arches or rub on full lock. cheers for the help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Lee81 Posted August 17, 2012 Share Posted August 17, 2012 40mm should be fine. You will however probably get rubbing on full lock even if you dont lower it. Because the cab suspension is quite basic you can also add rings of 5mm metal plate underneath the springs in the lower wishbone arms to raise the rear end should you get problems. Just remember to silcone them in place so you dont get vibration/ rattles in them. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
