I know the old series Landrovers used to have slightly stiffer leaf springs on the drivers side to account for the weight of the driver but I've never heard of a normal production car having it. Are both anti-roll bars from the same source (i.e. are they after-market parts)? If so, perhaps the quality isn't up to scratch. If not, then it beats me. Guest avul Posted June 7, 2012 Share Posted June 7, 2012 I have a feeling that it maybe right, when I replaced my old one with an rs one on my mk3 I just binned it but that one was the same, one side was off the floor when the other was touching the floor. So it seems to be a coincidence that three are/were the same & u wouldn't be able to tell with it fitted to the car, just assumed it was bent & threw it out as I didn't need it. Hope this helps Only way of knowing is to dig around on the net for some technical measurements as I doubt ford would be able to help unless some old skool guy was there. Guest pleco Posted June 8, 2012 Share Posted June 8, 2012 I done a bit of searching on the net and the antiroll bar is definately supposed to be slightly bent on the one side and it has got to be fitted with the bend on the drivers side with the left hand threaded nut as some one fitted it the wrong way around and it rubs on the gearbox on full lock so this may help other people and stop them thinking that their antiroll bar is bent Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
