Guest PhilKing
Hi all, Im sitting here tearing my hair out and im hoping that someone will be able to help! I have just rebuilt the top end of my 1990 XR3i cabbys engine including head gasket and new cam belt, I have finished the rebuild but when I start the car it revs at 3000 that is a tell tail sign of an air leak, i have fully taken off the fuel injection system (EFI) and checked all the gaskets and tightened all the nuts, and bulldog clips......but the same problem again....all my hard work wasted! Any ideas guys and gals? Phil
Guest dancabs
i have just done the same job and we had a problem with fuel injection gasket. the gasket turned out to be totally wrong and the 1 we needed was virtually impossible to find. In the end we scrapped the gasket idea and used gasket sealent instead. This cured the problem and the car runs sweet. Hope this helps you Dan
