Hi, I don't know the answer but, is there a way that you can track back to when the problem first started. I am assuming that you've owned the car for a while, with no problems, and now you have a problem. Did the problem start soon after you had the car serviced? If so, did they change they spark plugs, and are your plugs running too cold? ( Wrong plugs fitted ).? Is the thermostat staying closed or not opening fully. You could always take the thermostat out completely, and give it a good run, and see if it still has the bad starting problem. Just a couple of thoughts on the subject. Cheers, Burt.

hi thanks for reply it has done it for 12mths or so randomly started nothing changed

it went into the garage to be repaired after weeks and a large bill they say they can find nothing wrong although acknowledge there is a fault

they tried

ecu faults - none

fuel pump ignition system etc all came up no fault

i never really thought of the thermostat as it runs fine and never even remotely overheats or has the engine fan kick in will look at that tommorow
