Guest demonteddy
Hi Just put my 2nd cab in for Mot and it passed with no problems, So now want to remove the kit. I know the bumper parts of the kit are just screwed on so will be easy to remove. But how are the side skirts fixed on? would leave it all on but like cheep insurance also its got a turbo bonnet with vents, would this be classed as a modification? And front spot lights and rear spoiler. added a pic Pity its all got to come off, only bought it for spares originaly but too good for that. Guest John
it should be rivets on arches or screws. also along the sills but underneath the kit is clipped onto a plastic rail that is screwed/riveted on also that will have to come off then plugged or welded. are u removing the skirts off the bottom of bumpers???? if so u wanna sell them?? as my project is in the body shop now its either do or dont now before it gets painted. cheers john
Guest demonteddy
Hi John Thanks for info, Not sure yet what I am doing with the kit or even when I will be removing it ( the front skirt has damaged due to speed bumps though) Should have priced the insurance with the kit on first instead of saying it wasnt modified, not using the car yet just needed to move it so needed it taxed
gingergman
skirts should clip onto a plastic strip that is attatched to the car, i say should because they may not be, ive seen some bolted on, screwed on, siliconed on etc, same goes for the arches, but they should be rivited on if done properly. the bonnet will be classed as a modification aswell. Guest demonteddy
Too many modifications, I originaly bought the car for the new heated windscreen for the other cab, Think i will just change the screens over and resell the car. save me taking kit off, with it now having a full mot should have no problem selling it without the original screen I like the mods on it but i prefare standard just getting around to changing it over, dont have a garage and only a small drive. Just taxed it so I could get it off the drive needed the space then decided to take it for an Mot just to see what it needed was a nice surprise when it passed no problems thanks for info,
