Guest diggy
well where should i start at first i thought the fuel pump had gone so did that and that was not the problem so checked the fuel pump relay and all the fuses and yet again that's not the problem so now been informed ( by a mate who has had the same problem) that it could well be the immobilser not going off. I have a toad alarm and immobilser on that cuts the fuel pump and ignition so i was wondering could i simply have the old one removed and a new one fitted as that would be as cheap to do as getting it fixed! anyone got any suggestions on the matter would be helpful
Guest Lee81
That probably wont solve the problem. If you have an imobiliser that cuts power the pump they will have cut the supply or relay cable and then either inserted a remote relay or depending on model and intergrale one inside the alarm. You need to identify where this is on the car as you need to bridge the gap or insert the new alarm to this point. If you can't find it you will need to route new cables.
