Guest brummie231
My MK6 with 1.8 Zetec engine overheats, I have replaced all sensors including the thermostat but the fan doesn't kick in utill the needle almost reaches the red mark on the dial. I have thought of fitting a Kenlowe fan anyone had experience of fitting one and did it help the cooling ?
Guest Lee81
Check engine temp with a secondary device as the dash temp gauge isn't very accurate. The sensor for it also vary quite a bit. My first one would read half way up norm when the fans kick in. When it broke and i got a new one it would read right towards the top end of norm before they came it. If it is overheating check that the system holds pressure without leaks. If it does and it still overheats you probably need a new water pump
