Guest jbh325i Posted June 14, 2011 Share Posted June 14, 2011 well I bought the cab for the misses to use as a sunny day toy but weve had some news of tiny feet coming. so weve got our 5 year old boy and a new baby coming and were thinking the escort needs to find a new home. so do I break it or sell it complete? its an E reg MK4 xr3i mfi cab. it runs as sweet as a nut. full rst kit open mouthed rst front bumper ( in white ) standard xr3 front bumper rear seats need replaced half leather recaro front seats ( leather needs repaired on bolster and needs runners ) car it self needs 4 bits of welding and putting back together and painted.. but is fairly solid. id happily sell the lot to someone if I knew it was going to get put back on the road but if it was to get broken I could do this my self and keep the recaros get them repaired and use them in my E30... so what should I do... Guest jbh325i Posted June 14, 2011 Share Posted June 14, 2011 i would have been intrested but we are opposite ends of the uk think that is the problem if it was moted and taxed it could be driven in which case its open to more folk. hence it might end out getting broken which to be honest I would rather not see it happen. thing is I could do the work get it moted and painted then sell it but I could see me spending more on it than I would sell it for as by the time the work is done the summer would be more or less over with and no one wants to buy a convertibile then unless its cheap. the other down fall is ill be needing to get cash for the baby coming so I couldnt see the misses being happy if im spending money on doing the cab up to either store it to next year to sell or selling it at a loss this year... only saving grace is I dont need to spend any money on my E30 to finish it.
