Guest avul Posted April 15, 2011 Share Posted April 15, 2011 hi dobs yes this is a comman prob, it could b the compression ring's worn that would over presurise the block or if as u say all the pipe's r clear? it could just b the engine is gunked up inside. u could put an engine flush thro which myt sort the prob, but b aware that this may make the prob worse as this can strip the the burnt on depossit's that may b protectin ur engine!! its a bit of a cat & mouse game on an old engine, it's leave it & live wiv it or flush it & c how it goes!!! other that that if u can afford it it's ave it out & replace or rebiuld, hope it's a small fix 4 ya tho, hope this is of help regards mark oh a bit of gd news i'v done plenty of engine flush's wiv no prob's Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest dobs Posted April 16, 2011 Share Posted April 16, 2011 the engine seams clean inside and has 89k on it its got 5w30 in it but think it did the same before think i will fit a recuclating catch thank or bailey breather as that will send it back to block just wondered if it was maybe a faulty std breather i have a 2lt black top that might find its way in there Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Lee81 Posted April 16, 2011 Share Posted April 16, 2011 (edited) It is bad design and worn rings make it worse. A good idea is like you said is to fit a oil separator. S2 turbo item would be the best. Just need to make sure there is clearance on the intake. Never use 5w 30 in a CVH it is far to thin. Will do much more harm than good. I have found that Silkolene Pro R is the best in 10w 50. Its a high quality oil that doesn't vapourise as much as cheap oils. It will be thicker when the engine is up to temp. Guest suffolk04 Posted April 16, 2011 Share Posted April 16, 2011 silkolene oil is owned by fuchs,which is sort of a budget brand of oil, If you can, go for the castrol, it's about £25 for 4 litres, but you get what you pay for. Also, if your going to flush it, i would get some cheap tesco brand or something, run the engine until it's red hot, then change it straight away for quality oil and filter.
