i've just had some work done on my head because the head gasket went,

now it doesn't seem to have the power it had before its like the zetec does't kick in. and it doesn't tick over correctly till it warmed up and then its a bit low on tick over, the garage seem to think it could be the idle sensor that faulty any thoughts?

Assume the engine overheated when the gasket went hence the head rebuild. In these cases damage to the pistons and bores can occure and also many other parts such as sensors.

Could be a simple thing as some sensors not functioning. Once disturbed the wiring can cause bad connections due to age. You'll need diagnostic equipement to locate any problems though

Can't see why if the idle sensor was OK before it would be faulty now! What did they do to the head, if it was skimed it may of been over done!!!
