Guest AidanRump
Recently changed the roof on a MK3, We swapped the roof from a MK4, its went on fine, but the rear above the window looks a bit saggy/slack/baggy... Is the MK4 Roof a different frame? or any way to stop it from being baggy/saggy etc ? Cheers Aidan
MarineIguana
You got a picture of the place where it is sagging, As far as I know the roofs are the same on Mk3/4 so might need an adjustment to tighten it up.

Hi, I'll try and take a photo of it tomorrow and put it up, its just above the rear window, it sort of goes in, i thought there was like a little bar missing from the roof but the mk3 roof is the same, just a little baffled thanks mate
Guest MANDOLMODZ
Hi im pretty sure the only difference is the mounting point for the electric roof pump and the washers were different although its a long time since ive worked on the frame conversions

Guest s6boy1979
Lossen the window supports that go the self behind the seat and push the top of the window up and out then tighten the 4 10mm nuts, also make sure the straps that bolt to the edge at the back are pulled tight. Best way to do that is open the roof slightly and then bolt the straps in place and this should pull the roof tight when you close it. Hope this make sense!!!!
