Guest Savage
Hi guys. I'm pretty sure it's not a good sign but Im not overly mechanical. I've got a '94 escort cabby with 120K ish on the clock. in the last five years it's only done maybe 10K and in the last 6 months it's done less than 100miles - I don't know if thats relevant. Anyway, I got it started up this morning to give it a bit of an idle before I take her off to the MOT guys, and I noticed what seems like oil and water mix spitting out the exhaust. Left it running for an hour and then took to 3500-4000 in neutral to have a look for the tell tale smoke of doom and theres no smoke at all. It just seeems to be lightly dripping oil. I ran it into my fingers and Im convinced it's not soot, but without any smoke coming out it shouldnt be pistons / gasket... Any clues whats wrong with the girl? Cheers Savage. Guest Savage
Cheers guys, It got through the MOT so I've taken it for a "hearty" drive and seems to have cleared up. I was getting a tad worried it might be serious.
