Guest spennyxr3i Posted June 28, 2010 Share Posted June 28, 2010 well looking back at my old pics it looks like nothing needed to be done it was a clean cabby . but the doors had gone wings and bonnet all started to rust but the rest of the cabby was fine never even been welded. so on went some new doors wings and bonnet. she then started to look solid again so i went out and got her some brand new head lamps and indicators . replaced the old 88 spec seats and door cards for 90 spec rs turbo recaro in mint condition. gave her a new petrol tank and pump also a fresh gear box and clutch kit along with some poly bushes on the gearbox cradle witch did make a big differance . i have also added new brakes all round along with new whell bearings and wheel hubs also new standard exhaust system poly bushed. also fitted the rs turbo kit with the supports for the side skirts so thay dont sag. got rid of the 17" alloys and gone for the rst s2 wheels witch made the ride a lot better. also hade to put a new windsceen in as the old one had started to go all white around the edges. i have also added some elecy windows in the front as the old ones were wind up. she has been delocked proply with steel plates. brand new mohair roof waitng to be put on along with a very good set of weather strips for all round. all thats needed now is for her to have some paint in gloss black then i think she may just be done . it s cost ££££££ over the past couple of years collecting all the parts needed but its starting to seem all worth while.. will go out soon and take some good pics of her then get them on here so you know wot she is looking like at the minute Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest spennyxr3i Posted July 9, 2010 Share Posted July 9, 2010 well i been out all day yesterday with the cab and got rid of the old nasty roof . so on went the new mohair and i am well pleased . turned out to be a simple job apart from the rear cable as i snapped the first one good job i had two. she has been waiting for this since i got her 5 years ago . very happy cabby Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
