Guest Ryan_Wales
Hello all, Ive recently got myself a 1988 Cabriolet as a summer toy and winter restoration project. I bought froam a mate who has had it sitting on his drive for 2 years after his grandfather gave it to him. He has been a little strapped for cash recently so made him and offer for it and now its mine !! Here is how she stands at present but I will be putting her back to original over the winter, any comments / suggestions are welcome. Regards, Ryan

Guest diggy
Must say that looks tidy mate and agree that the spots need swopping for standard ford spots! All in all a very nice car and welcome to the club!

Guest Ryan_Wales
Thanks for comments guys Im based in Caerphilly just north of Cardiff, Ive also got a Fiesta ST 500 at the moment but im looking to sell that as having 3 cars isnt a good idea ! My first two things for the Escort are as you've said really, remove front spots or put original round ones back on (still undecided) and put the original wheels back on, tho the current ones do have a brand new set of tyres !! Its in for an MOT at present tho the last 3 it has had have come with no advisories, along with a new water pump. It is in really good condition with fairly new roof that is water tight, I sent it to garage before buying and they said there is nothing scarey to worry about so fingers crossed. I have put the XR3i decals back on it and removed the chav Halfrauds stickers that were on it and given it a good clean since those pics were taken but its a working project at the moment - Ill keep you posted !!
