Guest Maull Posted January 16, 2010 Share Posted January 16, 2010 Hi Everyone, Picked up my new and first cabby today, mk6 1.8 ghia, the roof was working fine but then i tried it again this evening and the motor makes the noise but nothing happens. Thanks to the forums on here i believe i have located the problem. I think its the plastic cog that needs replacing. When i looked at removing the motor to check i came across a problem so thought i would ask the experts on this. Removing the pump is fine, no worries there. The bit im struggling with is the lines that run the fluid to the roof. There are four of them and they seem to be attached to the pump by some kind of small black metal tube thing about 1.5cm long. How do i remove these to remove the pump and check the cog? Any help would be greatly appreciated on this as its my first cabby and i want that roof working asap. Thanks all for your help. Tom.
