Guest s11pyk Posted January 2, 2010 Share Posted January 2, 2010 not sure if this is in the rightsection but if not im sure the mods will move it for me. thing is iv got a mk4 cab and the carpets are wet. no puddles like my old golf used to but they're still wet! when i clean inside, glass etc and leave it for some time its all condensed up again and its annoying me now! where are the usual spots to check for water ingress? where are the drain holes to check for wheter they're blocked or not? is there a guide on here to show me how to stop my car fogging up all the tine or am i just gonna have to carry a chamois around till it warms up a little? If you can't see it is coming through the rooof anywhere check the bulk head. Around the battery or to fuse box as they tend to rust there and when is rains is runs down in to the car. Guest s11pyk Posted January 2, 2010 Share Posted January 2, 2010 im afraid its guna take time for the fog to clear mate, stick the heaters on full and let it sit for a while it should help a bit as for the water getting in, there are a few key areas, top of the windscreen where the roof n doors meet rear 1/4 of the roof or battery tray corroded battery tray is mint! it was off for a charge day 1 cos the thing wouldn't start. gonna have a good nose round it when the snow cleaRS. right now cant see the car!
