can you help just been quoted £116.00 to replace stalk arm on my other halfs escort mk6 r rg basicly the problem is when she drives the full beam flashes on and of this could give someone the signal that she is letting them pull out with out her knowing not good i have looked about on ebay for the stalk arm but not getting any discriptions from listings i have removed fuse for full beam at moment but dont want to leave it like this for long if it helps i believe her car has not got the speed change for wipers just basic intermitant then up for normal speed then up again for fast is this something i can get from car breakers if so is there anything i need to no or just make sure it has not got 6 speed wiper control cheers for the help

Hi mate, i have just replaced the stalk on mine for the exact same reason, and mine is spot on now, the main beam was sticking on, its deffo your switch thats had it, something like this one on ebay, BUT be careful, the windscreen wiper side has different functions on it, like intermittent wiper settings or just flick for one wipe, email the seller to make sure you are getting the same as you are taking out, hope this helps.

I don't think the different intermittent options make any difference (I have had both in my Mk5b) but rear wash wipe will pop fuses all day long. If ringing round scrappies, ask for cabby, saloon or van stalks as rear w/w was common (if not standard) on hatchbacks & estates. I picked up a van stalk for 3 quid from my local breakers and it takes a matter of minutes to change.

Exactly why i always think its best to replace like for like, then you know it should work as intended.
