Guest Cabbytech Posted October 4, 2009 Share Posted October 4, 2009 To prove the windows work, remove the gearlever cover to gain access to the switch, take a wire fused at 30A direct from your battery to the violet/blue wire on the rear of the switch and then see if the windows operate, i suspect they will. Escorts are renowned for fusebox problems, and this could be the problem with yours. Usually the soldered connections fail resulting in items refusing to operate. Check fuse 18, it should be 30A, if this is ok, check that the relay is ok, and then check the earths for the electric windows, you will find them on the A pillar.
