Guest SiV6Si
Fuse box, they all take a power feed from that, Its placed in the car where it catches water from the bulk head above it. Hence in some cases it burns out, or just has a dead short.
Guest MadCow
Hi, Tried the windows with the door open, they work, tried it with door open and fuse out and it stops working, do you still think it could be the fuse box? just thought I'd try this. Cheers Mel.
Guest SiV6Si
The heater switch takes its live from the fuse box, it just so happens that the location of the circuit for the heaters is where the moisture gets into the fusebox. If you know someone with a bit of electrical know how, get them to power the switch via a seperate 12v feed, just to make sure its not the switch playing up. Guest MadCow
Hi Well its weird indicators gave up then the heaters and windows and wipers, tried new stalks not worked, tried crossing the wires on back of ignition switch to see if the switch had gone and was not turning on the ancilliaries, I'm stumped, but the windows only work with the drivers door open?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?! Was thinking I'll just get a new fuse box, ignition switch, and stalks from scrappy's see if that works if not, dunno what to do!
Guest MadCow
Hi, Just thought I'd let you know it was the fuse box, my Bfriend found out that most of the top half of the fuse box was dead, run a live to the first fuse from the bottom and its all hunky doory! so now I know what it is! just a case of finding a cheap fuse box, but for now its working fine! Thanks again, Mel.
Guest MadCow
P.s Forgot to say he found an empty fuse slot that switched on/off with ignition and took the live from the top half of the fuse conector. Cheers Mel.
