Guest zeus Posted October 7, 2008 Share Posted October 7, 2008 does anybody have a rough idea how long it should take to rewire the entire rear half of a mk4xr3i???? see had trouble gettin the engine started when i bought the car, it turned without a problem but just wouldnt fire so done the usuall stuff change battery ignition leads etc. no luck sohad it checked by an ex mechanic, fuelin issue so fillters were checked pipes checked and foun problem wi fuel pump. so ripped out fuel tank and tested fuel pump (works fine) checked fuses and relays and still no joy so in rage accidently ripped off the drivers side kick plate only to find all the wires have been severed and mixed up and jimmied together ( not in correct way of voarse) any help really appreciated thanks marc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you get an originail part of the loom you can replace the whole lot or you can cut and join it to where yours just before it goes bad. Being the orig loom the wires will match up. I would say your looking at about a half days work. If you can't find a loom or you didn't want to replace the whole loom you can just replece the sections of wire that have gone wrong.
