im done with the box now, really fed up of polishing etc

had a go at removing the air pulse system, only half done on this so no after pics yet,

having a few issues getting the internal pipes off.

Gearbox looks great mate, alot better than it was anyway. oh and if you go onto www.rs2000-16v.com there are some really good ideas and tips. there is a bloke on there that does the modified exhaust manifold ported and strengthened etc for £100. or if your stuck on anything that is the best place for help. there are some really good folk on there :wink:

its been a while and an update is well overdue, so here it is

 

been spending some money, got exhaust, rocker cover and sump gaskets, new cv boots, new clutch. and a few other bits n bobs

 

the exhaust is now finished, welded up and heat wrapped

and here is the manifold half wrapped - its all finished now and to be honest looks fooking awsome!!

while that was away at the welders i decided to have a play with somthing else

eggsy it aint done yet,

 

charlzy - got the exhaust welded up b cos there were holes where the air pulse system was removed

and my shopping,

1 clutch, 2 inner cv boots, sump gasket, rocker cover gasket, oil filter sandwich plate for my oil temp and pressure gauges, engine paint and a 1 litre bottle of trans fluid (cos the sump plug from my gearbox came undone and emptied itself lol)

nice one mark, hope you got all that cleared up before mum came home and see you had spread you car around her kitchen lol, if i know you could do clutches I would have been nicer to you pmsl

i cant yet mick, itl be the first time iv tried to do one,

the bits were still there when i went to bed, dont know if they will be there by the time i get home tho - probably all spread around the back garden pmsl

 

 

IS IT DONE YET??

What was the Pulse Air system ??? :huh:

 

somthing to make the cat heat up quicker to get the emmisions down to the correct level quicker,

apparently it causes a bit of a restriction in the exhaust, so it had to go

cheers mate,

 

 

 

done a little bit this week,

took the rocker cover off (guna give it a coat of paint but not to sure which colour yet)

in the process one of the bolts snapped off (another pain in the arse to sort)

 

painted the block and sump

tis afternoon i hope to get the sump bk on, oil filter n sandwich plate,

 

i may even try to fit the clutch depending on how i feel

 

i will have some pic updates soon

a little more progress and a bit more room in the garage,

 

this has now gone to a new home, the guy has only had it 2 hours n he has already got the old girl running

we had it for over 7 years n it ran once lmfao - somone with the time n the knowledge ehh
