hi all it was an excellent day even though I didn't feel too good and didn't want to sit in a long traffic jam so that's why we left early and managed to get out in 15 minute.. It was amazing that the queue was just starting to build up even at around 2.30 pm. Lets hope the weather holds out for Bromley this weekend.

hi its because its got 4 electric windows and were the switch for the boot release fits into this same place as the rear window switches in the centre consul so there is no room for the boot release

yes mk5 and mk6 hoods are the same the only different is the stitching 1997 should have 1 stitching left to right along the back of the hood 1992 should have 2 stitching running on both sides from front to back if its mohair

found this on e bay just 8 miles from where I live its an 1984 1.6i all panels are original but doors are from mk 4 . no major rust just the battery box which will need welding fitted with mk 4 seats and door cards ,mirrors rear lights its been fitted with e/windows c/locking e/mirrors power roof I will be putting back to all mark 3 bits thanks to Ollie for supplying lots and lots of mk3 bits loking beter with mark 3 seats

sorry cant remember I think it was about £60 and I also need one for my mk3 as someone has fitted round pole battery on it but lucky they have not chop the wiring

hi where do you live , I live in Maidstone Kent and I know a local electrical dealer that still sells flat terminal battery's as I bought one for my mk6 a few years ago and its still works ok

no Ollie inca gold is the later models the correct colour is strato silver over mercury grey with blue fleck interior sorry to correct you but I have a brochure that I got from the ford dealer back in 1987 these models are getting rare nice looking car

its from this special edition escort available from late 1987 and was available in two tu-tone paint with mercury grey lower body and strato silver upperbody as pics or strato silver lower body and crystal blue upper body and it came with xr3i style seats not recardos

hi I fitted a heated windscreen to my mk6 ghia you will all ready have the wiring behind the dash you will need the wiring that runs along below the windscreen in the engine bay and the aux fuse next to the battery sorry don't have any part nos at the moment

why not just buy a focus cc it will be easier that trying to fit a folding metal roof

hi yes the ghia has the wiring for the heated front screen but it will need the wiring in the engine bay and the extra fuse that fitted next to the battery and if you get the engine bay it connects to the wiring loom to a muti plug on the drivers side engine bay just below the windscreen next to the abs pump (if fitted) and this engine bay loom also has the connetors for the windscreen
