Hi all. Our dishwasher started throwing an error code on the display and then stopping mid-cycle. The machine is about eleven years old, still works fine otherwise, and I'd rather not replace a whole appliance over something small. Problem is the manual disappeared during a house move years ago, and the manufacturer's support site only lists models they currently sell. Mine isn't on there at all. Before I pay a call-out fee, is there a sensible way to find documentation for an appliance that old?

Good afternoon all. Question about materials for a kitchen project. We've been given a list of brands by one contractor and I have no idea whether these are genuinely good choices or just whatever he gets a discount on. Cabinets, countertops, fixtures - all of it. I don't want to overpay for a name, but I also don't want to save money on cabinet boxes and regret it in five years. Where is it genuinely worth spending, where can we sensibly economize without regretting it, and how do I tell whether a brand list is a recommendation or just a supplier relationship? Bellevue.

Good afternoon, bonus hunters! One casino advertises a large deposit match, while another offers fewer free spins with simpler terms. I do not know how to compare wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum stake, expiry dates, and capped winnings. Where can you find a clear explanation that turns the headline offer into an actual calculation?

Good evening, participants! I am considering a crash-game assistant for occasional entertainment, but I do not want it to encourage larger bets. What responsible-use limits would you set before testing one?

Good morning. First time doing a bathroom and I am at the stage where the tile is going in and I need to sort the shower glass. I have no reference point for any of this, no idea what things should cost, how long fabrication takes, or how much lead time to leave. The contractor has told me it is not his scope, which I did not expect. Where does somebody start with this, and how far ahead of the tile finishing should I be calling? The bathroom is small and there is a window right beside the shower, which may limit the layout.

Hi all. Small job, possibly too small to interest anyone. I need a protective top cut for a dining table with rounded corners, two shelves for an alcove, and a piece for a side table that has an unusual shape. Everywhere I look online sells rectangles from a menu, and the one place I called locally wanted me to bring in templates, which is awkward for a built-in alcove. Do shops still handle small custom work, and what should I expect to pay for measuring? None of it is urgent, which is possibly why every place deprioritizes me.

Hey everyone. I am putting a small gym in a spare room in my apartment and I want mirrors on one full wall so I can check form when I lift. The obvious concern is that I will be dropping weights near glass, and I have no interest in finding out what a shattered wall mirror looks like. Is there a safe way to do this in a residential room, and does the mounting method matter as much as the glass itself? The room is about ten by twelve with one window, and the floor is over a downstairs neighbor, which is its own consideration.

Hey all. I want to put a large mirror in a long narrow hallway in our Brooklyn apartment, ideally floor to ceiling on one wall to open the space up. Two problems. First, the wall is slightly bowed, which I only noticed when I held a level against it. Second, we are on the fourth floor of a walkup and I genuinely do not know how a piece that size gets up the stairs. Is this a normal request or am I describing something impractical? The apartment is a rental with permission to make changes, if that affects the mounting method.

Hey everyone. I own a small two story building with a ground floor unit facing a fairly busy street, and the tenants have complained about noise for years. The windows are aluminum sliders from the seventies, thin glass, and you can hear conversations on the sidewalk. I want to fix this properly rather than sticking foam around the frames again. Do new windows genuinely help with street noise, or is that mostly a sales pitch and the real problem is elsewhere in the wall? Twelve windows in total if it matters.

Hi all. We are pricing out siding for a house near Hyannis and the quotes are all over the place depending on the material. Vinyl is obviously the cheapest, but I keep hearing it looks cheap, fades and cracks in the cold. Half the neighborhood seems to have it and most of it looks fine to me. Is the bad reputation deserved or is it about the grade of product and who installs it? I am trying not to overspend on something that will look tired in ten years. The house faces south and gets full sun most of the day on the front.

Hey all. Question from a guy who has never done this. I am on my feet all day for work and my toenails and cuticles are in rough shape, plus one nail that keeps catching on socks. I am not after anything cosmetic, I want it properly sorted by someone who knows what they are doing, with clean tools. That last part is what worries me most, honestly. What should I look for on hygiene, and do salons in Brooklyn take walk in guys for this kind of thing? I am in the Sheepshead Bay area and can go on a weekday if that is quieter.

Hey everyone. Slightly different question. We are moving in six weeks and about a third of what is in this apartment is not coming with us. Broken furniture, a treadmill nobody has touched since 2019, boxes from the last move I never opened. I would rather deal with it before moving day than pay to transport junk across town. Do moving companies handle removal as well, or is that a separate call to a separate outfit? And what does it usually cost to get rid of a load like that? Some of it is genuinely heavy, the treadmill especially.

Hello everyone. Moving my office, twelve people, from Cambridge to a slightly bigger space in Waltham. The lease overlap is one weekend, which means everything has to be out on Friday evening and functional on Monday morning. There are desks, a small server closet, and about thirty boxes of files that cannot go missing. Has anyone done a commercial move on that kind of timeline? Mostly I want to know whether companies genuinely work weekends for this and how far ahead I need to lock in the date.

Hey all. My wife has been a nail tech for eight years and she is finally moving into a rented studio of her own next month. I want to get her something useful for the opening rather than flowers, and my thinking is either a gift card or a starter restock so the first month is not all money going out. Problem is I do not know this world well enough to pick a store she would actually want to use. Which suppliers are considered good by people who do this professionally, and do they do gift cards?

Hello all. Looking for something for my mother, who has never worn nail polish in her life and is not about to start at seventy one. She does like having her hands looked after, she simply does not want color on them, and she is not going to sit in a loud salon for two hours either. Somebody mentioned there is a treatment that buffs and conditions the nail itself without any polish involved at all. Does that exist under a specific name, and would anywhere in Chicago actually do it? She lives on the north side and does not drive much, so somewhere reachable would help.

Hi all. My mother is turning seventy and she has never once had a spa treatment in her life, she thinks the whole thing is money thrown away. I want to change her mind with a proper gift rather than a mall gift card. She lives in the city, she is fairly reserved, and she would walk straight out of anywhere loud or pushy. What kind of place suits somebody like that, and is there a treatment that works as an introduction for a person who has never done any of this and is faintly suspicious of the entire idea?

Hey all, need some help and not much time to get it. My lease fell through and I have to be out in eleven days, one bedroom plus a home office with two monitors and a desktop I built myself. Last time I moved, a cheap crew put a dolly through my TV and then explained that their coverage was sixty cents a pound, which worked out to roughly forty dollars for a twelve hundred dollar screen. I did not know that was a thing until it happened to me. What should I be asking about coverage this time, and does booking on short notice automatically double the price?

Good morning! A seller claims its residential pool is clean, but I do not want to trust dashboard labels alone. How do you verify the real IP type, network owner and reputation before purchasing a plan?

Hi all. Situation: my brother in law and his three kids are joining our camping trips now, which means we are suddenly a nine person operation. Our current setup is two separate tents and it is a logistical mess - kids wandering between them at midnight, gear scattered across two vestibules, nobody knows where anything is. Thinking about going to one big shelter instead. Is that smarter or am I about to create a different problem where nobody sleeps?
