Hi my mk 5 escort xr3i is having some ignition problems. When I turn the key in the ignition all powers up as it should do. But just doesn’t turn over. If I connect the positive and negative with a spanner on the starter motor turns over and the car starts. When i turn it off sometime the it starts back up with the key and sometimes it doesn’t. Has any1 had any similar problems or can advise me on solutions cheers Ash
