hi peeps i have been approached by a fellow cabriolet owner that has a pub in hemel hempstead hertfordshire 1st thing i need to do is find out if any one would like to attend . no dates as yet but if we have enough interest so i can start organizing something Theres a couple of hotels not to far away for those that would have to travel a little further than others. the pub itself has a large garden with an outside bar and bbq with plenty of parking heres a link to the pub http://www.redlionhemel.com/ the dates i was thinking about was the weekend sat the 14th or /21st september our last show is battlesbridge ( grand motorbillia day)on the 29th) let me no what every one thinks regards ollie

Hi Martin Think every one struggles with the roof problem lol Key in the ignition on first turn . Not designed to use when engines running Should be the same in reverse just keep finger on the button for long enough and it should slowly start raising the roof No doubt you have sussed it by now though Ollie

not a close up den only noticed it when i was looking on the site for a new one

looking at upgrading and getting a new colour coded wind deflector just wanted to ask if any one has the the hard plastic type that clips over the roof bar as all the new ones have the velcro with studs not sure if my one was an original from fords as an option thanks ollie

hello phoned my local fords today they have a couple of nuts available . but i have had to buy the whole front bearings and it comes with the kit let me no if you have probs getting any and i will get them for you ollie

very nice work there stu looks like a lot of hard works gone into this m8 be great to catch up with you at ford fair and and have a good look around your cabby .. .. be a pleasure to have it on our club stand aswell if you fancy it. we have some nice modded cabs aswell as standard models like your style too my weekend car is an st asbo 5 door

i must say after having problems selling my st170 it had crossed my mind to keep the engine and bits for my cabby

no i was glad to be honest the guy i have been taking it too knew how much work i had put into it this fella went over it with a fine tooth comb ... fresh pair of eyes already done the rears just need to get the fronts done as i might as well do the pair ollie

hello if you want to tidy up easy thing to do is use a satin black on plastics and use a heat spray on manifolds etc rocker covers roughly around £20 depending on colours i have someone that can get it painted but means postage prices aswell regards ollie

hello yeah it can be done with your engine but you will need a few mods and wiring fitted a 1800 zetec turbo into my lads mk4 efi its currently for sale in the classified section .anythings possible if you got the time and money

well it was that time again i took it to a new mot centre today as the guy who usually does my mot has been off work and only one licensed to mot thought perfect opportunity for someone to put a fresh pair of eyes over it . well got there nice and early and dropped the car and keys off and went through all the little bits like its lowered / alarm system the fella was a bit miserable so off i went for an hour well got back and he said its failed on a couple of bits nearside front wheel bearing excessive play nearside rear wheel bearing excessive play and an advisory offside rear wheel bearing has slight play not bad to be honest as ive not really done much to it lately reckon could be a lot to do with the car being slightly lowered aswell well the rears i think i can adjust the front is gonna be a little more involved ollie

hello chaz hope your well not opened up one myself .still got my original fan and cowling tucked away as i fitted an uprated turbo fan to my cos of sitting in all the traffic jams we have lol dont forget to get some pics and a guide when you rufurbish yours regards ollie

hi ryan not sure which model you have have you tried with ignition on first turn of the key with handbrake on and keep your finger on the butto as sometimes there a little slow to start let us no how you get on
