Yea i take mine to my little local ford dealers,the older mechanics cut there teeth on the cvh,they say mfi better then efi,they did exactly what i told you

If tickover still eratic might be worth taking to a ford dealer or decent garage who know the cvh engine,those are the normal tweeks to sort it.

Check the hoses off of the inlet manifold for leaks,or replace them.

Could be lots of things,is the fuel getting to the carb ? are the points and distributer leads rusted up, ? need to go through all the basics realy.

Nice work, i agree with mark engine upgrade would suit the car,escort or fiesta rs engine or mondeo 2litre zetec.

RS 2000 seats or xr3i seats dont come up for sale very often, and when they do they are not in great condition, my advice is if yours are in good order keep them.

Has the carb got any numbers on it anywhere,and also where it says weber where does it say its made ? i.e spain Italy.

Put some pictures up of carb m8. I think i saw a brand new old stock one of those in my local ford dealers the other day when we were looking for something else.

Never heard of that i have to say. Have never even been asked what vehicles i drive. I pay approx £150 a year that covers me and all my family whatever they drive or are a passenger in.

I use rac,got a family membership, covers all kids cars and even if you are a passenger in someone else,s car they will come out.

Overheating, and steam not smoke from the exhaust usual signs on the cvh engine. Go and have it checked out my advice.

The red mouldings inserts are available for the bumpers on ebay for 30 odd quid a roll

Not available new now,only chance you have is to find a second hand set,that is a a problem in itself as they have to be taken off realy carefully (fishing line is worth a try) good luck with your search.

Welcome to the club. I think it has a mk6 front bumper and bonnet fitted,as i have one the same.
