Gear Sticking

Hi wonder if anyone can help

I have an xr3i cab k reg when the car gets hot I have trouble getting it out of fifth gear and will not go into revere has anyone got an idea whats wrong could it be the thrust bearing the car has only done 37000 miles thanks terry

Mines the same mate, not sure why it does it but if it's been in 5th for a prolonged period it locks in a bit sometimes. Let me know if you find a solution to the problem lol

i owned one once :sad: lol and i changed the oil and greased up the joints underneath and then it was ok

Mine's gone from bad to worse now, Locks up in 3rd and 5th and is hard to get into 1st and 2nd. I've already checked the oil etc and there's no problem there so I'm picking up a low mileage box today and gonna fit a new clutch while it's off...

I might have a look once it's off, I got the new box a couple of days ago, I'm gonna get a clutch in the next couple of days and get it done. Annoying thing is that I've still been driving it daily and today, apart from having to search for 3rd a little it was fine. It seems to be at it's worst when it's been on a long run and is hot. I had it on a ramp yesterday to fit a new exhaust system and the linkage is knackered - Very loose and worn, but as well as that when manually selecting gears by hand from underneath the car it's obvious that something is a miss with the box itself. I'll keep you posted of any developments...
