Guest Milkey Posted July 18, 2013 Share Posted July 18, 2013 Mine's gone from bad to worse now, Locks up in 3rd and 5th and is hard to get into 1st and 2nd. I've already checked the oil etc and there's no problem there so I'm picking up a low mileage box today and gonna fit a new clutch while it's off... Guest Milkey Posted July 20, 2013 Share Posted July 20, 2013 I might have a look once it's off, I got the new box a couple of days ago, I'm gonna get a clutch in the next couple of days and get it done. Annoying thing is that I've still been driving it daily and today, apart from having to search for 3rd a little it was fine. It seems to be at it's worst when it's been on a long run and is hot. I had it on a ramp yesterday to fit a new exhaust system and the linkage is knackered - Very loose and worn, but as well as that when manually selecting gears by hand from underneath the car it's obvious that something is a miss with the box itself.
