Guest Tabobo
Hey people, hoping someone can help me out with some issues i am having on my 1994 1.6 cabby 1. The heated windscreen is deciding to only work on the passengers side (not drivers side) and with the more chilly mornings this is starting to get a tad bit irritating as you can imagine! i have had a quick gander at it and the fuse is fine the two cable on the bottom of the windscreen are attached yet i have no R1 grey relay?? forgive me if im wrong but not having this would surely mean the heated windscreen does not work at all?! 2. Is my radiator fan... which is always on... therefore for the meantime i have resolved in popping the fuse in and out for a switch. Would this be down to the radiators thermal switch and if so is this just a simple case of un-screw and bolt in a new one? Help would be muchly appreciated, Thank you! ianxr3i
The radiator thermal switch is 99% the cause & it is a simple un-screw & screw in (quick fix)

Guest Tabobo
Well went to euro car parts and picked up a switch which i was told was the right one, this one; http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Ford_Escort+Cabriolet_1.6_1994/p/car-parts/car-cooling-parts-and-car-heating/cooling/car-switch-and-car-sensor/?223590061&1&f1ea79d19c0e7726c397000984fcb6925ea2d74e&000529 However i cant seem to find where it locates and the sensor i have been looking at is a bit smaller, grey topped and right on the top pointing at me to the right of the engine... Have i just purchased the wrong sensor or am i just being a fool?
