I have rang every where to get a replacement as I have been told that the head cannot be re-built. Scrap yards what to sell me a complete engine not just the head. I have finnally found a 1600 CVH head but it is off of a 1990 XR2i which had EFi. Can I fit the EFi head or is there some thing different about the EFi head which prevents the MFi inlet manafold fitting. I cannot compare the head with my old one as the machine shop has disposed of it. I do not want to spend the money on getting the head re-manufactured unless it is going to fit. Can anyone help.... Guest El87cabi Posted September 18, 2011 Share Posted September 18, 2011 No chance mate, the Mfi/Efi inlets are different so i wouldn't even bother trying to remanufacture it, it don't sound cheap.
