What type of Oil gauge a temp or pressure? I have both Voltage and oil pressure fitted to mine.

Its not hard to do as it should come with a guide on how to do it mine have a few more wires than a normal one as it changes colour but a normal single colour one would have less.

If you are getting a oil pressure one it will come with a sender unit that goes on where your current oil pressure switch is and replaces it (well it did on mine) and the voltage one would go from the ignition more than likely. But not a hard job I did mine and I'm ****ing bad with electrics :tongue:

i was wanting a oil pressure gauge as my engine is quite rattley which im guessing is the big end bearings fooked but im no expert lol.

i do plan on replacing the shells at some point but dundo when. i also wanted a volt gauge to keep an eye on the juice in my battery.

i was gunna fit a small pod on the piliar for the gauges........what do ya recon? :@)

I thought about a pillar pod but the pillar is a bit small for me so mine are plonked on top of my dash  :D

But I have them for the same reasons you have just to keep an eye on battery and oil state and boost plus they look the dogs dangly bits :tongue:

that is a commen prob wiv a hot cvh anyway, alot of the time people used 2 fit diesel starter's & a higher voltage batt.

is the engine rattling or knockin? if it's a rattle it'll b the tappet's but if it's knockin then it'll prob b the bottem end, if it is the bottem end hold the rpm at bout 2000-2500 then rev it & u'l hear a destintive knock, but if it's the tappet's there'l usaully rattle frm idle thro the rev range, hope this is some help, but gauge's r always a gd mod & u can keep an eye on wat's goin on.

regards mark

cheers guys. yeah the bottom end aint to great on it but it was like that when i got it....... it still pulls well but get noisier when it has a good run out then its hard to start which worrys me.i thought it was down to the worn bottom end.i guess it could do with a oil change lol.i heard diesel oil is good for a worn engine.
