Guest GIZMO Posted January 8, 2011 Share Posted January 8, 2011 hello people,,me again..anyway little help needed yet again,,my mk5 1.4 cab(cvh)seems to be loosing oil threw the air filter..its cum up threw the breater pipe from rocker cover to the air filter..and it aint just a little bit either,,any body got any idea's at all what the problem could be Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Lee81 Posted January 8, 2011 Share Posted January 8, 2011 This is common with the CVH. When the engine becomes worn the piston rings allow more blow by. This pressurizes the crankcase and carrys lots of oil up the breather pipe. The standard breather system is rubbish and never worked that well on these even when new. Engine could do with a rebuild ideally.
