Fitting A New Roof

got a new roof for my mk5a

 

other half is gonna have a go at fitting it, with the help of the walkthrough off here,

but he wants to know if its best to lock the front handles down before tightening all the nuts and bolts at the back?

any opinions?

Well my new roof is on,

it wasn't as easy as other half thought and due to the weather took 2 days to do,

just need to have a look at drivers side window as it doesnt seem to sit right and roof has a small leak coming from this area but we will get there in the end

ok seeing as it is a different roof u may find that the corner of the roof neeeds to be moulded to fit a little bit get a towel and mullgrips and give it a fracten of a bend and then try agen and if it still does it may be u need the roof rubber seal that goes along the top of the windowscreen
