chaz
Cab been sitting in the garage for two weeks with a flat battery, today I replaced the battery with a new one, when I turned the ignition on the pump primed and the car started first time but after a few seconds it lost revs and stalled, now the pump is not priming, all other electrics are working lights, indicators and stereo. I have checked the battery connections, on the positive I have two wires one is red thick the other one which is black and thinner looked like it was holding on with a few strands to its crimped connector, infact I gave it a pull and it came off obviously now I have no power till I fix it but could this weak connection have caused the pump not to prime, or am I just hoping for a quick fix. I appreciate any help you can give me. __________________
Guest murcus
of course, you have the answer in your question, the pumps not going to work if you have taken its earth ( the black wire ) or the power from the pump the only things that will stop the pump working, if theres broken wires, bad earth, knackered pump, or pink relay that sits under steering colum
