Hi all,

Am I right in thinking the temperature sensor is not working (EFI) and the sensor is the one on the right hand just under were the raditor connects to the block?

If I put a positive live and bridge the plug the fan starts up but not on its own

Does any have a part number or any suggestions - Cheers :salut_gb:

Yes suggestion:

1, the switch has give up the ghost.

2, the switch was ok but as the fans motor is on its way out it will knack up an new switch not long after you fit it as the warn out motor will pulls more amps hence you get burnt out contacts inside the switch.

3, you need to rig up a relay setup via the switch relieveing the switch of any high ampage power so it wont burn out again.

hope this helps

You have the right plug alright, just bridging it out with a split pin or peice of wire (with the ignition swithed on) will switch the motor on. If this is the case then the switch is at fault. This just unscrews and the new one screws in, but recheck the coolant level after as you will loose some.

If bridging the wirs out dosen't make the fan run then keep it bridged whilst checking the power feed and earth to the motor. If this is ok then the motor is at fault, If there is no power then it is a wiring fault.

I am assuming you have checked the fuse? There is one in the fuse box, think it is a grren 30A one from memory.

Good luck
