Another niggle with the wife's calypso I have to sort. Reverse light were hits and miss, they would light up as reverse was initally engaged, and then sometimes go out. Not they don't work at all. it's not the bulbs, and supply power to the circuit lights them up. So has to be the switch, where is it locatted. You're going to say gearbox casing aren't you?

the switch should be on the front of the gearbox a two pin switch, pull off the plug and bridge the terminals, should put the lights on (with ignition on)if swo get a new sitch or clean the contacts could just be corroded

its on the front of the gearbox, easy to reach without having to lift the car or anything, you may find that if you just push it back on they'll work again

let us know how you get on

All sorted, took the plug off, and a load of water poured out. cleaned it all up, sprayed a load of anti sieze / corrosion oil into it and job done. What a silly place to locate it, direct in the line of all the snot and grot off the road.
