Guest pmiddy
OK i'll try and be brief, on the way home from ford fair i noticed a small squeek coming from under the bonnet. i put the car back in the garage and i didn't think anything of it.i thought as i have a local meet tonight i would bring my car into work to let the garage guys have a look at it just to be on the safe side. on the way to work the noise was getting worse, so much so at one point i was down to a crawl. when i got to the garage the guys had a look and it's not good news. the cam pulley had splintered and has shredded the cam belt. luckily the belt had stayed in tact and they don't think it has caused any damge to the engine. it needs a new belt and pulley, the trouble is they don't have them in stock and i have made a few phone calls and the only place that has one near me says it's not for an EFI model but for a carb model. he is unsure but thinks it would work as they should all be the same for a CVH engine. is that right? if not does anyone know where i can get a cam pulley for the EFI engine? any help appreciated!
