Guest gavintwopies
Well as i had to put a days holiday in this week i managed to get a few jobs sorted on the 18 zetec namly the engine loom weeded out to just a 8 wire connect ready for the drop in when it happens. It was a much easier just than i 1st thought, well not much happened till last night when a sudden bout of dryness outside spurred me on to clearout the garage and rebuild the 1.8 back up to to ensure i have all the bits there just a new waterpump to fit and timing belt kit while the engines out, also i might put the flywheel through the blaster aswell just so its hada freshen up and i cant get the rocker cover off yet until i put the engine back on the floor as the chains are holding it in place. Guest gavintwopies
Well not a major leap forward but started to make a loom up to run inside the car just extended the pig tails i had on the mk6 loom by 1 metre on the 9 wires i will be using and labelled them up with shrink wrap id no.'s, this should make for a quicker install when i get to it along with my pinout chart i made for the 9 wire install. Also managed to get my hands on a 115ps ecu, chipped key and engine bay loom for nowt today so thats more than quick enough for her indoors put that behind a consideribly lighter escort than the mk6 andit should make for quite a nippy motor? Guest gavintwopies
Went out and secured 300 crimp terminals and 10 fuse holders on the bay last night so there coming soon so all in all i'm about 90% there for having everything at my disposal for the drop-in. Guest gavintwopies
Exhaust turned up today too, not a free flowing one as its only a power flow but still its stainless and looks better than the std pea shooter, hopefully it will flow enough and not restrict the 1.8 zetec.
