Guest smegward Posted June 17, 2010 Share Posted June 17, 2010 my electric roofs never worked since ive had it always done it manually which cant be helping the rods im guessing but had an auto elec out to it who checked the pumps receiving a live and that the switches are sending a current and all thats fine but still nothing on the pump he didnt feel confident enough to explore more so he gave up but also my reverse lights dont work nor my electric aerial and he said it looked like the same loom at the rear im watching a pump on ebay but dont wanna spend £100+ of its not gonna be that its a mk5a cheers james Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

allblue Posted June 18, 2010 Share Posted June 18, 2010 (edited) ditto that about the electrician. it sounds you may have an earthing fault, I guessing this because you say the reversing lights and aeriel do not work. Remove the boot trim panel and check the earth connection. May be worthwile to unscrew the earth connection and clean up the contacts.
