Replacing Electric Hood With None Electric

Hey folks.

Still no joy with the mk6 roof. I have just removed it and replaced it front to back and back to front with still no luck. The gap is approximately an inch.

I have found a local breaker with a none electric hood. Can I fit this and still use the electrics? I presume it will only be a bracket difference which i can replace.

If no joy - then this cab is either being broken or going on ebay as spares repair because i am at wits end.

Cheers folks!

Benni.

try spraying oil(wd40) on all moving pins/points under inner skin as some tend to semi-seize through lack of use.

try moving all the bars under inner skin by hand after spraying oil over them as the bars sometimes do not return back to there position due to lack of use

is the back screen in normal position as i had to push up the glass a little and seemed to help with closing

hope this helps

Hey dude. Yep - done that aswell. The car had been stood for 12 months with the roof up so I find it awfully strange.

I've noticed loads of people having the same problem. I have literally done everything and am now contemplating a replacement roof which is manual but mine is electric.

My screen is sagging as you mention.

Here are two pics

Thanks again!
