Guest s11pyk
so, the cabs stuck on the ice rink drive for now but iv been messing, got all four speakers working, sounds ok but will be replacing all the speakers one day! Problem iv got is dash lights! there's none around the heater switches, only the rev counter lights up, when i put dipped beam on no light signs in clock, when i put main beam on the blue full beam light lights up?? and when i put full on it goes off again? externally all lights are working as they should albeit a bit dull! whats going on? also my temp gauge doesn't rise? the car has a seperate switch for the fan so i can put it on whenever but id still like to know what temp its running at. when i start the car the needle goes from well below the bottom line to the bottom line. but no matter how hot it gets it dont register on the gauge! this really bugs me, what do i need to do to sort all these problems out? its a mk4 efi all blue. i want some white dials too. am i best getting a new clock set from a breaker? c'mon guys and girls this one should be easy for you! Hey The dash lights sounds like bulbs. Take out the heater controls and the clocks and the have little twist in bulbs. Halfords will be replacments, they even do some really cool blue led ones but they are not cheap. The temp gauge sounds like the temp sensor which is located in the head at the front next to the exhaust manifold, right hand side. Also change the temp fan switch which it in the side of the thermostat housing, they are not that expensive. Also a good chance to make sure the anti freeze is good as needs to be in this coldness. Make sure who has fitted the fan bypass button they haven't bypasseed the fan altogether and the fan will come in with the temp switch. It is handy to keep it though as lets you cool the car down if stuck in traffic.
