hi guys need some advise asap!!

think i may have let my heart rule my head on this one? anyway heres the problem!

got offered a state blue mk5 cabby and jumped straight in! lol was only £250 quid moted to feb roof mint not a mark and all the arches perfect! and had focus alloys on (since been removed!) didnt look right with the side skirts etc.

anyway the problem is this:

the wire going into the starter moter is cut!, there a small wire attached to starter now with a connecting bullet, and to get it to start you need to run a wire from the positive part of the battery to hit this bullet which in turn fires it up!!!.weird huh!,also the ignition obviously needs to be turned round with the key to no3

taking the keys out and turning off ignition and connecting the wire it trys to fire up! there doesnt seem to be any imobilisor or anything fitted??? or could it be theres a problem with the the wire going to the ignition? the wire that should go into the starter red/blk wire is next to this bullet tapped up!!! mmm please help

thanks a lot
