Guest djchurch2001
OK got a few points i need help on having a nightmare. I recently brough a working escort cab turbo but the body work was rubbish. I then found an excellent condition escort se 500 so i brough this and planned to drop the turbo lump in the se 500. I removed the loom and engine from the turbo and dropped them into the se 500. Now i am having lots of electric problems. The turbo engine and loom was running at time of removal. 1. Fuel Pump is making a starnge noise and does not make the normal high pitched buzzing, sounds like its dying. 2. I cut the wires in the se 500 that run down the side of the drivers seat and just planned to reconnect them to the turbo loom. easier said than done as the wire colours do not match up. 3 Not sure if i have connected all the wires up correctly on the loom, any pictures or advice on what connects to what would be great. 4. Relay issues, can someone tell me what colour relays do what. I have replaced the pink relay as i know this is for the fuel pump. 5. From the turbo loom that sits in the engine bay i have 2 white cylinder connectors with three brown wires going into them. Do this plug together as they they come from the same part of the loom. 5. I have 4 wires that come from the drivers side piller i am guessing this is for the interior light, the wire colours do not match what comes from the loom. If anyone has done a turbo conversion and has any picture of what goes where that would be great. I did take my own but my brother decided to delete all pics on my camera.
