escortcabrioletclub Posted July 7, 2008 Share Posted July 7, 2008 ok in the boot on the left hand side theres the pump ok there will be2 relays swap them over then try if roof gose down then not up you then know its a relay playing up if notyou need a multie metter and test all the wires for volts but you will need someone to press switch ope that helps abit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest billena Posted July 7, 2008 Share Posted July 7, 2008 thanks m8 yes thats the prob the relays lol i have a nother problem but dont know where to post it..what it is. is when i take the power off or on on the gas why driving im getting like a jerking in the stering that makes the car pull left or right it feels just like when a lorry side swipes you at speed on the moterway. i have changed both lower arms twice both bearings roll bars and bushes new disc and pads... im running out or things to change lol. sorry to go on but if any of this makes sense im open to any help many thanks again Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I do have a turbo gearbox in there from the previous owner and its not a turbo now - would that make a difference??? I will be keenly listening to what other people suggest next.......
