  1. Well I had a few problems with pictures not showing on this post and with the new format of the site now making it much easier to add pic's I decided to up date this post and remove all the old comments The pic's are now shown in groups of parts I know this now just looks like a list of parts but the old post was all over the place I hope no one is offended with me removing their replies but I will be leaving new replies for at least 12 months
  2. TBH if its a financial decision the most people would say no but all depends on the price you got the car for and its condition and if you can do the work required yourself Price's are on the up for Cabs but they'll never get to the sort of price's the tintops are goin for Sentimental value can be worth more than financial value but that's down to the individual Personally I'd Save it
  3. Nice 1 another 1 saved And a bargain as well
  4. It is difficult to value any car with seeing it up close tbh I think the most important thing is bodywork dose it require any welding dose it have any rust in any of the usual places plus condition of the paintwork Engines can be removed & rebuilt but helps if its all running fine Originality - worth more if its not had any mods etc

  14. Anything is possible TBH when I was Vauxhall's Ellesmere Port general assembly I used to take new model year parts to a secure area in another building I sometimes had the opportunity to have a look at the next generation cars (about year before release) that where on a mock up assembly line where they worked out the schedule for assembly, some models had options that never seen final production - don't know what ever happened to these cars but 1 or 2 where defo fully completed and running
  15. TBH I’ve never seen of an RS Cabriolet that was produced new from the factory But it could have been possible Back in the day you could just contact the DVLA and change the vehicle details and they wouldn’t even check the details where correct so don't believe everything unless you have proof
  16. My first check would be to double check the timimg belt could be a notch out
  17. Hi again I thought it was the rubber sill part you was looking for if its the metal sill (Red section - Part of the Body Shell) your after you can buy a new 2 door outer sill and trim it to suit you can then fabricate the support section (Purple section) form steel
  18. Looks a very nice Cab that m8 Genuine new Spot lamps & brackets are rare & very expensive they do show up now & then but be prepared to dig deep into your pockets if your going to fit Genuine parts even used items can fetch good money genuine spots where Corello 640's and you'll need 90 spec brackets like in the pic's I've added as for the lock, i'd just get a used lock & buy a repair it & make it to suit you original keys tricky if you've not done it before but can be done Side sill skirts - good luck findin a set of them
