I'm not holding out much hope as the DVLA database says the tax ran out on 1 Dec 2005 and there is no MOT data on the system. This either means then that the reg has changed or it has been off the road for all this time. Just in case anyone can help though, the car was a light metallic blue (not sure what it was called) XR3i, first registered in Apr 1989 and the VRN was F959WRL. I'm keen to track the car down, even if it is just a chassis to hopefully buy back and restore. Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated.
