Shiftymini66 Posted August 8, 2020 Share Posted August 8, 2020 Hi guys, I have just bought a 97 Escort Calypso Karmann soft top, when closing the roof, the drivers side pin locates straight into the pillar hole but the passenger side wont by about 1/2 inch, which leaves a gap between the front edge of the roof and the screen frame, everything looks straight in the roof mechanism, any help on a fix would be appreciated. ryancole2001 Posted June 21, 2023 Share Posted June 21, 2023 Hello, Its been a couple of years but did you managed to solve this issue? just replaced the skin for the roof and is really tight and I have finally managed to latch it closed manually and I am now having the same issue you have described. Vincygav Posted June 27, 2023 Share Posted June 27, 2023 You need to adjust the arms on the roof close handle on both sides. The hook style pegs screws in and out of the handle assembly.
