Nick Barnes
I have a MKVII 1997 there are some rust spots under the strip, where the bodywork at the rear joins the moulding strip that holds the rear / bottom of the roof, and that the tonneau cover fixes to with 5 fixing pins. How do i remove the strip to repair / repaint the bodywork ? I can only see screws at the end by the Rear Quarter Window ? on the outside are there any more on the inside ? Does it just pull off ? What else holds it in place ? Are the pins that the tonneau cover clip onto fixed to the bodywork and if so how do they come out ( plastic coated so I do not want to try and grip them to twist them ? ) Thanks for any advice Nick
