Nick Barnes Posted January 25, 2019 Share Posted January 25, 2019 See my earlier post regarding this speedometer cable the new cable arrived correct length this time 1422 mm BUT the fitting that goes onto the speed sensor in the engine bay below the starter motor is too big ( 1.9 mm inside diameter ) and the thread is a different type, and the inner ( metal ) cable does not seem to fit into the speed sensor correctly ?? I know I could get a secondhand one from a breakers but would like a new one just to be sure I'm not buying one with the same problem as the car is 21 years old again the website above quotes it fits my car but again it DOES NOT ? Can anyone help me find the correct part ? in the UK or Europe I've tried searching everywhere on the net but come up blank ?
