Nick Barnes
Hi I ordered a speedo cable for my Mk VII 1997 Cabriolet it measures 850mm in length but its too short ? When I took the old one out I noticed this ? Now I have no speedo until I get a new one, the old one is still attached at the engine bay end so haven't measured it correctly but all the websites say this length ( 850mm ) is for my car but the old one is nearer 1400mm in length ? I got fed up after discovering this so just put the dash back together so I could drive her, I now have to order a new one but no one is listing this length ? HELP Please why have they all got it wrong ? Its left hand drive but all the sites know this as I am trying to order from European sites Is there an OEM No. I can use to find the correct one from somewhere while I am on the subject is there a site that lists all the Ford Escort parts and OEM Nos with diagrams anywhere for futue use as I am always finding there is too many products to choose from with different specs for the same car ?
