Hiya all,

Got my baby back Christmas eve from the body shop and put it in storage. Fetched it out couple of week ago for the dreaded MOT. Failed miserably Headlight out of aim, Exhaust middle section leaking and offside drop link on the anti roll bar excessive movement. lol. Anyway trip to the exhaust replacement place cost me £65 quid which i didn't want to pay cos i've ordered a stainless to go on it. Drop link had one in the shed (took me half hour to get the old one of and five minutes to put the other on on). and the headlight all of one minute for a nice man to adjust at the MOT station. Anyway what i would like to know from you is. Had a full strip down on my car and a full paint job looks excellent but, here we go. The door trims have been Double sided taped back on but on the drivers side the door trim has failed and made contact with the front wing trim causing them to foul. Don't know if he used the wrong thickness tape or just a cheap version. Doing some reading Acrylic plus tape by 3M is best. Taking the car back to him to see if i can get any (mick jagger) satisfaction. Thoughts from you lot please. I don't say much but i do know who reads my posts and the respone is well respected.

Hi rudedog, 3M products are always good in my opinion however if it is secure then I would be happy.

Sounds to me like the door moulding has been refitted slightly too far forward or the wing moulding too far backwards. Only takes being out by a mm sometimes!!
